Sean Dorsey’s acclaimed dance theater duet ‘6 Hours’ is a featured part of the Sixth Annual Women on the Way Festival.
‘6 Hours’ is an intimate dance theater journey into the world of the gender outsider. When two new lovers set off on a road trip to see family, they get more than they bargained for and their budding relationship is put to the test. Playful, evocative and deeply moving, Dorsey’s work fuses dance, theater, storytelling and original scores to dive into aspects of coming out and living as transgender and queer. Sean Dorsey was recently named one of the international dance scene’s most promising choreographers by BalletTanz, Europe’s leading dance magazine and continues to be profiled and lauded in the local press.
‘6 Hours’ was supported by a San Francisco Arts Commission Individual Artist Commission and a Queer Cultural Center Commission funded by the San Francisco Foundation.
