Fresh Meat Productions is thrilled to announce that during FY 2019-20, we created a dedicated, year-round Access Coordinator position! StormMiguel Florez, who has served as Fresh Meat Productions’ (brilliant) Social Media Coordinator for over 5 years, is now additionally working with us as Access Coordinator!
Florez is a trans, queer, Latinx filmmaker and performer based in San Francisco. Florez’ year-round position now includes researching, developing, coordinating and evaluating our access practices, policies and accommodations. Under Florez’ guidance, we rolled out expanded access accommodations and support at Sean Dorsey Dance’s 2019 Home Season and at our 18th annual FRESH MEAT FESTIVAL this June!
Florez is a Xicanx trans filmmaker, actor, and folkrock recording artist from the SF Bay Area via Albuquerque, New Mexico. His Southwest desert roots are a deep muse for his art and have currently become an inspiration for his upcoming film, The Whistle – a documentary film that will tell the story of a secret code shared among young dykes in 1970s and 80s Albuquerque as a means of self-identification and finding community. http://www.stormflorez.com
