Fresh Meat is proud to present a solo showing of groundbreaking printmaker / mixed media artist Emmett Ramstad’s recent installation work titled “Becoming”. This gorgeous work is visceral, evocative of transformation, layers, growth, change and healing.
Bodies are in process.
Like a scar healing, there are new layers of meaning perpetually created within our skin.
I am exploring this process of becoming.
Artist Bio: Emmett Ramstad is currently completing an MFA at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Working from and with the body Ramstad utilizes handmade paper, stitching, and printmaking to create art works that act as bodies- bodies that are changing, mutating, and growing. Ramstad has shown throughout the United States and is happy to be showing in San Francisco again.
