Fresh Meat Productions is celebrating our 20th Anniversary Season!

For 20 YEARS, we have been joyfully investing in the creative expression and cultural leadership of transgender and gender-nonconforming communities.
We proudly continue to create and commission new work, present performing arts programs, conduct FREE education and engagement programs, and advocate for intersectional justice and equity in the Arts.
You know us for our FRESH MEAT FESTIVAL of trans & queer performance, Sean Dorsey Dance, FRESH WORKS! commissions, #stayFRESHatHOME video series, free workshops and so much more.
And we are doing MORE THAN EVER during the pandemic to connect, inspire and uplift our communities. Did we mention we’ve made ALL of our programs FREE during the pandemic?
HERE'S WHAT'S COMING THIS YEAR:
- We are COMMISSIONING 20 ARTISTS to create new work to celebrate our 20th ANNIVERSARY!
- We will launch our new artistic and organizing framework: FUTURES reFRESH centers our collective joy, pleasure, wellness and liberation!
- Did you catch our #LoveTransPeople campaign during Valentine’s week? What a love-fest we stirred up! Check out news about the event AND all the great pics on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
- We will launch Season Two of our FREE creative/wellness series #stayFRESHatHOME!
- We will present Sean Dorsey Dance’s At-Home Season April 16-18… featuring the world premiere of new Sean Dorsey Dance films, plus interactive goodies including The Futurist Pledge, The Dictionary Of Joy and Pleasure, Postcards From The Future and MORE!
- We will commission and present the world premieres of new work by FRESH WORKS! BIPOC trans and gender-nonconforming and queer commissioned artists!
- We present the 20th Anniversary FRESH MEAT FESTIVAL June 18-27 (online + safe)!
- We’re partnering with the Queer Cultural Center to bring you a FREE online art exhibition of work by BIPOC trans and gender-nonconforming visual artists in June 2021!
- We’d tell you more but we have to save a FEW secrets for 2021… And all the while, we’ll be keeping each other SAFE by offering all programs online, virtually, and via Zoom, postal mail and other assorted not-in-person technologies! We love you so much that we want to keep YOU safe. Please wear your masks and practice COVID safety protocols!
