B. DeVeaux is an Oakland-based vocalist and songwriter whose work blends neo-soul, R&B, and atmospheric storytelling. Raised between cities, they developed a voice shaped by movement, resilience, and an instinct for world-building through sound. Their debut album, Chrysalis, available now on Bandcamp, offers a reflective coming-of-age journey grounded in emotional clarity and artistic intent. On January 23rd, B DeVeaux will debut at SFJAZZ with Jazmine Sullivan’s FEARLESS, bringing their immersive approach to the stage. Filipinx is an all Filipino American drag super group comprised of local Bay Area drag performers and community leaders. Founded by Yves Saint Croissant, she created Filipinx in response to seeing a lack of Filipino representation in the Bay Area drag scene as well as a way to strengthen Fil-Am drag community. Filipinx showcases Filipino excellence and talent and uplifts and collaborates with other Filipino and Asian American drag houses and communities to create incredible AAPI drag art! The members of Filipinx are Yves Saint Croissant, Sassi Fran, Nia Politan, Phoebe Cakes, Tila Pia, Nutasha Quintine, and Tsunomi Punoni.

JanpiStar was born and raised in Puerto Rico they move to Oakland California to joined AXIS Dance Company in 2018.Janpi has been commissioned in the Bay Area by different festivals & organizations like : Queering Dance Festival on 2019, 2020 & 2022, and by the Fresh Meat Festival from 2021-2025. In the last two year JanpiStar has develop a new way to express themselves, doing Drag shows Janpi has performed at the MOMA SF, The Academy of Science and Oaklash 2023 & 2024.

Shawn Lee is the Artistic Director of Bay Area Independent Chinese Dancers, a collective that helps young adult Chinese dancers tell their own stories in original choreography and reinterpretations of derived works, firmly rooted in the Bay Area, but connected to peoples overseas. Shawn has trained as a Chinese dancer and choreographer for 10 years and is the Artistic Director of Bay Area Independent Chinese Dancers, which democratizes traditional arts by helping artists tell their own stories. Shawn’s focuses on pushing definitional and general boundaries in Chinese dance, challenging ahistorical unions of religious tradition and Westphalian nationalism or gendered normativity.

New Voices Bay Area TIGQ Chorus New Voices Bay Area TIGQ Chorus is a mixed-voice ensemble for singers who identify as transgender, intersex, or gender-queer. Our mission is to build a creative, joyful, empowering space where voices silenced or shamed can grow and be heard, while reshaping how the world understands gender and music. Singers range from beginners to professionals, united by great repertoire across styles and traditions, deep community connection, and collective storytelling. Founded in 2018, NVBA has performed at SF Trans Day of Remembrance, Fresh Meat Festival, the National AIDS Memorial, Grace Cathedral, and the Billboard Music Awards. We welcome new singers without audition.

Pangaea is a multifaceted Bay Area artist. As a mixed Black trans woman, she infuses her lived experiences into her singing, writing, costuming and set design, drag, and activism. Her work works to uplift Black and Brown, trans, and queer artists, by helping to build vibrant, inclusive creative spaces. She’s also one-fourth of the Bay Area collective The House of Perception. She can also accurately interpret the smell of any dream but don’t ask.

Sean Dorsey Dance (SDD) creates, performs, tours and teaches dance-theater that uplifts Trans and Queer bodies, stories, history and lives. Over the past 25 years, the company has toured its work to over 40 cities across the US and internationally. SDD’s Artistic Director Sean Dorsey is the founder and Artistic Director of Fresh Meat Productions – and is a white, trans, deaf/hard-of-hearing, queer choreographer, dancer, writer, educator and activist. Dorsey is a Doris Duke Artist, a United States Artists Fellow, and a Dance/USA Artist Fellow. He has been awarded an Emmy Award, five Isadora Duncan Dance Awards, and the Goldie Award for Performance.

Shawna Virago stands as a pioneering figure in American roots music, blending punk energy with country storytelling to create a sound that defies easy categorization. She has been a trailblazer for transgender representation in music since the 1990s, touring nationally and releasing critically acclaimed albums that tackle themes of identity, resilience, and social justice. Her previous album, Blood in Her Dreams, was named one of the best albums of the year by Billboard Magazine and showcased her evolution as both a musician and storyteller, cementing her reputation as what Rainbow Rodeo calls “the fairy godmother of trans country artists.”

Zubriri Wilburn is a Black, transfeminine, interdisciplinary film, photography, and movement artist based in Oakland, California. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she discovered her love for dance at backyard barbecues, homecoming dances, and the quinceañeras of her peers. She studied film and dance (modern, ballet, and vogue) in Oregon and spent several years in the Portland Kiki Ballroom scene before relocating to the Bay Area where she has graced stages such as the Black Choreographers Festival, San Francisco Pride Main Stage and numerous local drag and burlesque shows.

Churro Nomi is a San Francisco-based drag queen and dancer extraordinaire. She produces and hosts a vaudeville cabaret called Clutch The Pearls (first Sunday of every month at Make-Out Room). When the sun rises, she goes by Eric Garcia, Co-Director of Detour and Managing Director of Fresh Meat Productions.
