ABOUT THE JAZZ FUNK WORKSHOP
During this jazz funk class, the focus is on feeling your f***ing fantasy, baby! Jazz Funk is an industry-style dance form that pulls from all styles—some include, but are not limited to, hip-hop, jazz, and heels. This class is all about feeling hot hot hot in your body—whether that’s soft, sharp, sultry, silly, or all of the above.
We’ll kick things off with a 10ish-minute warm-up to get our bodies ready to move—think cardio, isolations, and stretching to wake things up and get everything juicy and alive.
Then we dive into choreography. This class is leveled at intermediate due to its quick pace and the limited breakdown of movement. That said, you’re always encouraged to make the choreography your own—take what feels good, shift what doesn’t. Your body, your rules.
We’ll end by dancing the choreography in small and large groups to give everyone space to fully dance while feeling supported by the collective energy in the room.
This is a safe and supportive space for you to commit to what feels good in your body and to be perceived in the ways you want to be seen.
