This year, Sean Dorsey Dance celebrates its Tenth Anniversary Season. To celebrate, the company has a jam-packed year of performances, touring and celebrations! In May, Sean Dorsey Dance celebrated its Tenth Anniversary Home Season with the world premiere performances of its full-length work, THE MISSING GENERATION. THE MISSING GENERATION gives voice to longtime survivors of the early AIDS epidemic — and explores the contemporary impact of the loss of part of an entire generation of gay and transgender people to AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s. Dorsey created the show during a 2-year intensive process that brought him to 5 cities across the US to conduct community residencies, research and record oral history interviews. Over the next 2 years, THE MISSING GENERATION will tour to 20 cities across the US, offering communities performances, free workshops and multi-generational community conversations.
