SEAN DORSEY TO BE HONORED BY SAN FRANCISCO PRIDE

At the Inaugural Ken Jones Awards Reception

Artistic Director Sean Dorsey, who founded Fresh Meat Productions and Sean Dorsey Dance 20 years ago, will be honored at the Inaugural Ken Jones Awards Reception, presented by SF Pride.

Dorsey will be awarded the Audrey Joseph LGBTQ Entertainment Award (Awarded to honor those who have made a significant and historical impact or left an indelible impression on the LGBTQ community and the movement for LGBTQ rights, through their artistic expression, or through their contribution within the entertainment industry). Audrey Joseph is a longtime record executive, club manager, and LGBTQ rights activist.

Join us as SF Pride honors esteemed members of our community at the Hilton San Francisco’s Cityscape Bar and Lounge. Located on the 46th Floor with 360-degree panoramic views of the city, SF Pride will honor some of the incredible achievements of our communities’ finest advocates. Light food and beverages are included.

Awards that will be bestowed:

Gilbert Baker Pride Founder’s Award: Honors those who have made a significant and historical impact on the LGBTQ community and the movement for LGBTQ rights.

Audrey Joseph LGBTQ Entertainment Award: Awarded to honor those who have made a significant and historical impact or left an indelible impression on the LGBTQ community and the movement for LGBTQ rights, through their artistic expression, or through their contribution within the entertainment industry.

José Julio Sarria History Maker Award: Given to Bay Area people who make extraordinary changes in the way society views the LGBTQ community.

Pride Creativity Award: For outstanding artistic contribution to the LGBTQ communities.
