THE LOST ART OF DREAMING
by Sean Dorsey Dance
Welcome to THE LOST ART OF DREAMING
We are so glad you’re here.
You are precious and irreplaceable, and
YOU have an important place on this planet and in the Future.
And above all: DREAMING IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT.
Sean Dorsey Dance’s multi-year project THE LOST ART OF DREAMING explores and creates expansive Futures for our communities.
We’re doing this through movement research, free interactive online creative tools, a series of dance films, DREAM LABS, and a world premiere performance at Z Space (San Francisco) in Spring 2022, a national tour (2022-2024), and so much MORE.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re doing all of these things SAFELY – out of love for each other and for YOU. We’ve gotten creative about how to connect! Read on below to watch our dance films, take the Futurist Pledge and much more!
AND STAY TUNED for Sean Dorsey Dance’s AT-HOME SEASON in April 2021:
we will connect ONLINE and offer you a CONSTELLATION of goodies. We will:
☆ premiere NEW dance films created by Sean Dorsey Dance,
☆ launch The Dictionary Of Joy And Pleasure,
☆ invite you to take The Futurist Pledge,
☆ create a Nourishment Altar,
☆ offer you GIFS from the Future, and
☆ invite you to request a Postcard From The Future!
☆ (our AT-HOME Season will be available for $0+ sliding scale!)
Some of the humans dreaming up all this magic are: dancer-collaborators: Sean Dorsey, Nol Simonse, Raúl Torres-Bonilla and Will Woodward. Original music composed by: Anomie Belle, LD Brown, Frida Ibarra, Alex Kelly, Ben Kessler. Costume design by: Tiffany Amundson. Dance film cinematography by: Annalise Ophelian. THE LOST ART OF DREAMING is an invitation to
reclaim, remember, connect, conjure, co-create and manifest OUR BIRTHRIGHT:
YOU are invited to be part of the
CONSTELLATION of activities that are part of
THE LOST ART OF DREAMING
All of these activities will be launched online at Sean Dorsey Dance’s AT-HOME Season in April 2021!
